After 6 tedious, long weeks of promotional processes, Bob was promoted to Lieutenant! Since his promotion he changed from C-Shift to B-Shift!!! It is definitely something to celebrate! The pictures below show him with the other new Lieutenants when they received their new black helmets symbolizing that they are Lieutenants.

Bob's 30th"Surprise" Birthday Party

Bob turned 30 and to celebrate I threw him a surprise party at Maxwell's in downtown Lee's Summit. He actually wasn't surprised at all, but it was fun with friends and family. We ended up playing The Newlywed Game with my grandparents and other couples from the bar! I also asked all of the guests to bring a bottle of BBQ sauce for him to try out the next time he smokes some meat and check out the picture below of all the BBQ sauce!

Dallas Cowboys Home Opener

The Welch boys each bought a season ticket for the 2009 Cowboys season! Crazy I know, since we don't live in Texas, but it is a dream come true for Bob. They will sell the remaining tickets this year (to make up for the cost), but they did attend the home opener of the Cowboys this year. It was the reveal of the new stadium. I posted the pictures that Bob took of the new stadium. The screen inside the stadium is 110 feet. Crazy! The boys had a great weekend in Dallas

I celebrated my 10 year high school reunion. It was at O'Briens in Lee's Summit. This is a picture of my girlfriends from high school. I was dissapointed in the turnout. Only about 75 people showed up. The most hilarious part of the night was Pete Binghams tribute to Michael Jackson. He performed a dance to 3 MJ songs with a costume change and ALL. The most memborable part of the night was seeing Kristen Schubert who was a friend from elementary school. She is now a lawyer in Minnesota!!

Donkey Punch BBQ Gets 12th Place

Bob and his buddies developed a BBQ Team. After many practices they enrolled in their first BBQ Competition at the Blue Springs BBQ Blaze Off. After cooking all night, the team received 12th overall out of 85 teams. Bob's chicken scored 9th! Quite a showing for their first competition. Many more competitions to come.

Stacy made this unreal cake!

The sausage. Bob didn't think it turned out well so he made a smiley face..

Madilyn is HERE

Madilyn was born on August 2! She was 6lbs 11 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. Lauren had an easy delivery and Madilyn Jean Collums is beyond perfect. Bob and I cannot describe the love we have for her, it makes my heart skip when we see her. She is very loved! I posted some pictures of her below.

ROYALS!!!

Bob and Nathan purchased season tickets for the 2nd year in a row. This year the stadium was rennovated so we purchased tickets in the newly rennovated outfield seats in the fist row. The boys figured these tickets would be in high demand and the Royals woud do well. With the exception of the pitcher Greinke, the Royals were terrible. So this will be our last year for a while purchasing season tickets. However I will miss tailgating and taking friends to games. So, I posted some of the tailgates and games we attended.

Summer Road Trip to St.Louis/Chicago/Michigan

Bob and I took a road trip! We started our trip in St. Louis where we visited my Grandpa and Grandma Mill and took them to a Cardinals game. Then we traveled to Chicago where we went to the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Navy Pier, and Chicago Cubs game. Even better our friends Steph and Matt Owings were in Chicago too, so we went to dinner together. The weather was unseasonable chilly while we walked the shoreline of Michigan Lake and shopped the streets of Michigan Avenue . After Chicago we traveled up to Michigan to celebrate the Mill's 60th Wedding Anniversary. The entire Mill family made it except for Brianne, Saige, Lauren (pregnant with Madilyn) and Clay. We road bikes, relaxed on the beach, cooked huge meals and walked to the pier daily to see The Big Red Lighthouse. Amazingly I didn't drive one second of the trip, because Bob drove the entire time. One of our most memorable vacations.
