August Part 1

August in pictures!  I love capturing moments in our normal every day lives because I feel like those moments are the most memorable.  I also like capturing the events, festivals, birthday parties, outings, etc. we do because that's important too.
August means back to work for me and this year I was especially sad to leave the boys.  Paxton started his first year at WeCare pre-school in the Stable Room with 13 other students and his teachers Ms Mary and Ms Ann.  Ashley, along with her 4 year old daughter, came over and watched the boys.
The pictures below are of part of August everyday life and the special events too!

Auntie won tickets to Sporting KC and she gave the tickets to Bob and I.  It was such a cool experience.  It turned me into a soccer fan and I feel like I have a better understanding of the game.

Madilyn turned 5 and hosted a Frozen Birthday Party at GAGE.

The next few pictures are at a Balloon Festival in KS.  It was awesome. Everything about it.  Tons of kids activities, festival food and hot air balloons that inflated took flight or stayed around for the Balloon Glow.  This was our first Ballon Glow and it was breathtaking. At night the inflated balloons would light their fires and glow!  The shapes of the balloons were incredible, balloons shaped like  Darth Vader, Elvis and a shoe from the "Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe."

Balloon Glow!!

Jess Bixler encouraged me to check out her Yoga Instructor Debra and I am thankful I did for many reasons.  One of the reasons is the retreat Debra hosted and I attended.  It was a day of learning about yoga, being reflective and time with good friends.

Jess and Sarah at the Yoga Retreat!

Me, Pat and Ang at the Retreat.

We had lunch with Auntie and visited her new office at FreightQuote.

Paxton has such an imagination and loves to pretend play.  I love, enjoy and encourage this so much!  On a trip to Target he was a fireman and he played the role the entire trip, pretending to put out fires, and introducing himself as fireman.  I would also describe Paxton has confident and this is a good example of his confidence and the the fact that he wears a clip on tie most of the time.  He is pretty comfortable in his own skin.

HUGE popsicle from the Ice Cream Truck!

Playing dress up with B!  He loves to be in my closet.  My closet is the first place I go to look for him and usually he is sitting in there, just hanging out.

MORE Favorite July Memories

B in the ball pit at Paradise Park.  Not his favorite spot at Paradise Park.

Water table at Paradise Park.

P climbing the web at Paradise Park.  He is such a climber, definitely one of his strengths.

Handsome.

Melvin found the perfect spot in the stroller.

Summer breakfast with the boys is not rushed.  It's the way to start the day.

Future fireman (and dentist, policeman, Jason''s Deli' worker, construction worker, pretty much you name it, it's in Paxton's future.)

Wagon rides.  Although Bennett loves wagon rides the MOST.

Madilyn reading to B.

Reading with Nana :).

Neighborhood pool.

Spraying the hose at Station #1.

Fire Station visit with Pat Dade and her sweet grand babies, Luke, Easton and Daden.

Boat and Beach

One of our favorite summer spots is boating and the Lakewood beach.  The kids love the beach.  Paxton asks to go to the beach all the time.

Love his belly exploding out of his shirt.

July

July is my favorite.  Starting with the 3rd and 4th of July.  The weather was cool and dry and Bob was on vacation.  Just the way we like it.
We spent the 4th of July at Bill and Julie's.  There was a slip and slide, and inflatable pool. The boys had.so.much.fun.  Paxton also shot off some fireworks for the first time and did some sparklers.

Watching the fireworks at Legacy Park.

First lightening bug for Pax!

Watching the fireworks at Legacy with Cernech's.
