Longview Kite festival

I haven't flown a kite in years and I will have to say its pretty darn fun, but challenging with 20 other kites within a few feet of you! If it wasn't so chilly we would have stayed longer to enjoy the festival and huge kites! Maybe next year!? The good news is we have an awesome patriotic airplane kite to fly this spring and summer!

5k for Pancreatic Cancer

The weather has been cold for spring and its killing us to have to play inside. Paxton asks to go outside all day long, seriously the kid would spend the entire day outside. Last weekend was no exception to the cold, windy weather but we toughed it out and spent the entire day outside (should I mention that he ended up with a double ear infection and a high fever Saturday evening?) We walked the Purple Stride 5K in honor of Jess's Grandma Jackie who died of pancreatic cancer. Paxton had a Hannah for a stroller buddy and he crossed the finish line like a champ!

These are a few of Paxton's favorite things..

1. Mowing the lawn.
2. Walking around Home Depot. Trying out the shower, but he never attempts the real shower at home, too scary.
3. Face painting at Paradise Park. Actually he loves everything about Paradise Park.

Baby showers!!

Steph and Jen B. hosted the sweetest shower for our sweet baby. I felt surrounded by friends and family who love our sweet baby!

Photos that make me smile

When I write a post on my IPad or IPhone I cannot add captions to my pictures which is super annoying. With that being said, that is why I am going to describe each of the pictures and why they make me smile without using captions!

Picture #1-reading to Pax in his bed before nap and bedtime has become a favorite for both of us. We could read for at least an hour. He snuggles in my lap these days!

Picture #2-Pax loved playing the snow. He was so disappointed when it all melted. So disappointed that he decided to wear his mittens outside even without snow! I can't express how much he loves being outside!

Picture #3- After a long day of playing outside Pax and I took our shoes off by the door and they landed next to each other. It made my heart warm to see his little dirty shoes next to mine.

Picture #4- Pax likes art. He is big enough now that he gets out his crayon box and paper and starts coloring without help from us! I think it's a sign he is so independent and likes to be creative!

Picture #5-Most mornings Paxton snuggles up to Bob or I in our bed and we watch cartoons. This particular Saturday morning we brought him "breakfast in bed." He looks so relaxed, like he was born to have breakfast in bed!

Easter

Paxton loved the hunt of the eggs! He opened every egg before moving onto the next egg too see what was inside! Below are picks of all his hunts! The first picture is a onesie we made for Clara or Bennett using the leftover egg dye!

Messy Town

Messy Town was a blast! Surprisingly Paxton stayed away from the really messy stuff and enjoyed play dough, the rice table and places to climb! He had lunch with teacher friend buddies before they got messy!!

Spring break

We had cold, snowy weather for spring break which was a bummer! However, Bob only worked a few days during spring break so we relaxed as a family. Most exciting news is we completed Paxton's "big boy room" and he officially sleeps in his bed! The highlight of spring break was the arrival of Sutton Meyer Welch!
