37 Weeks

I love being pregnant and what I love the most about being 37 weeks pregnant is the anticipation and excitement that he could arrive at any moment!

Maternity Pictures

Nathan, Bob's brother, took maternity pictures!  The pictures are taken in Paxton's room and Downtown Lee's Summit.  I am 34 weeks pregnant in the pictures.

I love what Bob said about this picture.  He said that it looks like we are awaiting Paxton's arrival because his little rocking chair is empty next to us.

Tacky T-Shirt Party

Jenn hosted a tacky t-shirt party for the literacy coaches. It was a lot of fun!
It's hard to read our t-shirts.  My t-shirt says "Here for Beer!," Jenn's says "Recreational Therapy," Deana's had a sweet cape attached to the back of her wonder woman shirt, Jenny's says "Its my world and he's living in it:," Pat's says, "Save' Em ALL Big or SMALL (notice the punctuation is incorrect!), Corinne's says, "Want to see my Tatty's?"

7th Anniversary

Bob and I celebrated our 7th anniversary!  We went to breakfast at Fig Tree Cafe, our favorite breakfast restaurant, and then saw the movie Bridesmaids.  One of the funniest movies we have seen in a long time!  It was a great way to spend a cool, rainy day during May.

LFD Family Shower

In honor of Paxton, the fireman wives planned a girls night out with pedicures and dinner at Houlihans!

Oh Melvin

I started to pack my bag for the hospital, I may be getting a little anxious:)!  Tonight I noticed that Melvin pulled almost everything out of my suitcase.  It made me chuckle, but I also realize we have a lot of work ahead of us when it comes to Melvin adjusting to Paxton!

So that Melvin doesn't feel too left out I let him be the first person to try out the stroller that came today which I put together myself.  Assembling things isn't my best quality, so I felt accomplished:)!

Mother's Day

Even though I am a mother-to-be, Bob made this Mother's Day special!  He bought me a Kindle so that when I am up doing late night feedings I can read!  It was a sweet surprise and something I would have never purchased for myself considering I get most of my books from the library!  Then we did two of my favorite things, we went on a nice long walk and to Jason's Deli for lunch.   Later that evening we continued the tradition of combining my family, Bob's family, Ashley and Lauren's so to be family for a Mother's Dinner!  It was a fun, special day!

Walker Shower

We are so grateful for all of the  showers that our friends and family have thrown for us.  I find it important to document them all so that Paxton (if he wants to!) can look back at all the love and support he had even before he was born!

Kari, Colleen and Cindy threw such a sweet shower for Paxton and I!! They asked each guest to bring a book, which I loved.  In addition they asked each guest to write a note to Paxton for each of his birthdays until he is 21.  Each guest also left with a CD that included songs that have the word baby in them.  The songs were also part of a game where we had to guess the title and artist of the song.  It was such a special night!

Family Shower

I can't say enough about how lucky Paxton is to have Ashley as an aunt.  She made the family shower for Paxton so special.

We started by doing a craft.  Each person desgined a 4 X 6 white card using scrapbook paper and fabric that matches Paxton's room.  Ashley is going to take each desgined card and turn into a desgin and frame it for his room.  I especially love it because a piece of all of our families will be represented in his room.

The craft table!

Lunch!

Beautfiully decorated tables for a sit down lunch.

Dessert!

Madilyn helped open gifts!

One of my favorite parts of baby showers is coming home, unloading all of the gifts from the car and reopening the gifts with Bob in Paxton's room.  This sweet Dallas Cowboys outfit was given to us by his Grandma Judy.
