9 Week Highlights

The truth is...I had no idea how incredible maternity leave would be.  Since my only worry in the world is Paxton I love every minute of it.  I find myself snuggling him for hours!  I also think what makes it even sweeter is having Bob home during the day. Especially when he is home during his 4 day!!

Business Casual

Sometimes he sleeps with his hands elevated..like he is falling.

First boat ride

First time at the park with Ruby and Carson!

And he pooped all over our sheets 5 minutes after I took this picture.

Madilyn turns 2

Happy Birthday to my favorite 2 year old niece who celebrated a Nemo birthday party!

At first she was timid about riding the boat becuase she was afraid of the sharks in the water. After we explained that there weren't any sharks in the water she was happy to drive the boat with Papa!

When she opend the oven doors on her new kitchen she used a hot pad each time!

Paxton is 2 months old

Highlights of 2 months: Surviving a road trip, discovering that he likes the activity mat and his ability to purposefully bat at objects, loves being outside because it immediatly calms him and getting chunky:).

Challenges: Becoming more vocal about his needs, still feeding every 2-3 hours (he likes to eat!) and keeping him cool during the hot summer days!

Baby Finnley

Finnley is only 1 week and 1 day old in this picture!!  These guys are going to be buddies and of course they are MU fans!!:)

Michigan and Notre Dame

We decided to vacation at Lake Michigan again!!  This time with our friends and baby Paxton.  What an adventure!  It all started with a 10 hour drive to South Bend Indiana.  The drive was crazy easy!  Paxton slept or laid happily awake the entre time.
He slept while he passed a city named Paxton :)...

At our first stop in South Bend Indiana we visited the Notre Dame campus.  While we were there we were able to sneak on the football field thanks to some friendly fireman who escorted us!

Next stop is Holland Michigan!  This year we invited Heather, Matt and their kids Ruby and Carson and Ashley and Brian to Twin Pines Cottage.  It is especially special for me because my family has visited and stayed at the same place for many years, so taking Paxton made it even sweeter.  Unfortunately we went when the entire country experienced a heat wave so the temperature was unusually high at 90 degrees.  This was a challenge for us because the cottage isn't air conditioned.  However, with lots of fans we were able to keep Paxton cool.  Luckily by the end of our stay the weather cooled into the low 80's.  My favorite memories of this particular trip are the 2 hour walks the girls took in the morning, trips to the farmers market and watching the sun set.

Highlights of P at 7 weeks

It's been so hot lately and in the afternoon our house can be as warm as 82 degrees, so Pax has been hanging out without clothes to stay cool.

Spending time with his Great Grandfather.
