Back to work, back to reality..

The transition back to work is much harder than I expected. I didn't realize how much my heart would ache for time with Pax and Bob. I have always thought of myself as someone who could never stay home and needs and finds work important. So I have learned the ache will also be there, but it's getting less "acheful" (acheful is not a real word, but it works!!). I need to remember that it takes me about a week into school to feel less "acheful."

Anyways some things we have been up to!

Building with the checkers at Custards Last Stand! Pax is quite the builder.

Saturday mornings at Farmers Market, walk around Downtown Lees Summit and a visit to the fountains.

Looking "cool!"

Music in the Park.

Found a friend.

He walked around with his shirt in his mouth. Weird.

More of Paxton's creations...

Lately, when you ask him what a bunny says he scrunches up his nose and sniffs, like a bunny. He has started to make this face often and it makes me laugh.

Bubble bath!

More Fun

We had a cool evening so we walked around the plaza for a bit and enjoyed KC fountains.

Madilyn turned 3!

Pax loves to take Mel on walks..

We bought this hutch from Craigslist to refinish..

Paxton is all about helping Bob.

Pax is helping get the hinges off.

Another fun day on No Wake Lake with LFD Family.

All Paxton needs is something to push or pull around and he is happy. So why not push around the rolling cooler?

Pax Man

I love this picture. Just a swim diaper and crocks!

Paxton is always watching Madilyn to see what she's doing..

Early Beginnings Park has the best toddler area.

It also has a sandbox! Sand bothers me, it's so messy and Paxton can't get enough of sand. I have to let go of the mess and let him enjoy the sand and he enjoyed it by diving in head first..

A fun girls night out.

We celebrated Finn's first birthday and Paxton couldn't resist the cupcakes. Who can blame him? They were delicious!

Playing with Max!

Also, Pax cut and bruised his left eye pretty badly. We were playing in the kitchen at Paradise Park, he tripped over some faux fruit and landed on the corner of a chair. Ouch!

This is one of may favorite pictures. When he goes to bed he has 4-5 binkies some of them are blue and the others are green and he always prefers the green ones. He likes them so much that usually when I get him after a nap he has one in his mouth and two in each hand. He is so funny in that he will rotate putting the 3 different GREEN binkies he is holding in his mouth. Notice in this picture he has a finger stuck inside a binky.

It is coming to an end...

Summer vacation is winding down and here is what we have been up to lately.

Sleeping in!! Pax sleeps until 8:30 or 9:00 these days and it's the best!

Going to summit Waves with Hannah and Lincoln.

BBQ Contest at the Blue Springs Campground. Bob scored 8th in ribs and the team scored 24th overall.

Bob relaxing in the hammock the day before the contest. This is the life!

Me, Jess and Nancy supporting the BBQ team!

Playing with Aunt Ashley and Uncle Nathan's special friend Earl. They pretended to put a lot of fires out and hide from the monster!
