More summer fun

It has been HOT. Most days it is above 100 degrees. Hot weather=swimming

Lauren suggested we take Pax and Madilyn to the park near Bass Pro. The park was awesome because of the much needed shade! They both had fun!

Then off to Bass Pro. The entire time Madilyn played on the playground equipment she chanted, "We are goin' to Bass Pro!"

Papaw took the day off to take Pax to the Lakewood Splash Park and Pool. It was fun, just the 3 of us!!

All Star Fan Fest

Bob scored tickets to Fan Fest on Craigslist because we couldn't stand the idea that we might be missing out on all the fun.
When we arrived we heard that Alex Gordon was signing autographs so we headed over to get in line. It was a long line and I became determined to get an autograph for Pax on his Royals hat. So Bob and Pax checked everything out while I waited in line...

Confession. Sometimes I sit in the back seat with Pax on car rides home so that he doesn't fall asleep in the car and miss out on nap time. On the way home from Fan Fest I sat in the back to keep him awake and took some pictures of him.

4th of July

The night before the 4th our neighbors put on quite a fireworks show. Bob and I enjoyed it from the driveway while we worried that Pax would wake any minute with noise directly outside his window, but amazingly he never woke!

Weirdly enough Pax had a low grade fever on the 4th. He didn't seem bothered by it so we assume teeth are coming in? It reminded me that Bob was very sick on the last 4th of July. So maybe we have started a family tradition? We can expect someone to be sick on the 4th!
I got to spend late afternoon at my friend Aubrey's visiting with "fellow friends."

Then we headed over to Kens for the Welch Family 4th. My grandparents came along this year!


And he found some rocks!

Pax watched the fireworks from his stroller. The noise didn't bother him, but he wasn't overly excited by them.
