Mr. Bugsy Robert Welch and DIRT

Introducing Mr. Bugsy Robert Welch, our new beetle pet. He loves vacuuming, according to Paxton which make Mr. Bugsy and Paxton soul mates. Also, according to Pax, Mr. Bugsy prefers leaves over grass for food. He's a pretty great first "pet"who we found crawling in the playroom floor.





Dirt. The kids love it, they love it so much they eat it. Bob told Paxton a story about going to Grandma Fran's and playing with a big kid who ate dirt. Now Paxton must eat it and Bennett too. I wish this picture wasn't so blurry but you can see "dirt loving Bennett!"

Paxton's first flight with Grandpa

We've had lots going on this summer: birthdays, play dates, "field trips", so much fun and I will blog about it, but I couldn't sleep tonight without blogging about today. The day Paxton went flying with Grandpa. Grandpa Dick is a former pilot, and on his bucket list was to fly one more time and Nana made it happen with the help of Thomas, the flight instructor. I didn't fly with them, Nana did fly with them, and said flying made Paxton a little "green." She said he kept his head down a lot of the flight. The flight was predictably bumpy given the windy day and a small airplane. Grandpa said it was like riding bike, but with a few more gadgets than he's used to. Paxton said he didn't like it, but as the day progressed he talked more about it saying, "I flew with Grandpa today." So I think it will be unforgettable for him.
