Nap Time

Pax has figured out that he can sit up in his crib and so I found him like this one morning, patiently waiting for someone to come get him!

Since he has figured out he can sit up, and pull himself up, he does lots of playing with his pacifiers and talking before he sleeps!! Yesterday, he feel asleep for 20 min. like this. Poor guy!!

Aunt Ashley

We feel like the luckiest people in the world to have Aunt Ashley care for Pax when Bob is at the fire station. She is truly amazing with Pax.

She takes him on play dates with Annabell so that he can be with kids his age!

Annabell and Paxton

Annabell and Pax..they love each other.

Ashley also cares for these sweet girls some afternoons and according to Ashley Paxton enjoys their company very much.

Almost daily Ashley sends us a picture of Pax playing!!

Also, Ashley takes Pax to Story Time at the library and he seems to really enjoy it!!

I can't even begin to express how thankful we are that she takes care of Paxton. I don't worry about him while I'm at work because I know Ashley is caring for him!!!

Paradise Park

On Presidents Day Pax and I spent the day with Nana and Madilyn. Madilyn told Paxton that he is her best friend. Does it get any sweeter than that? He smiled at her. I can only hope that they will be best friends.
We spent some time at Paradise Park where we met Kristin and Jensen. We had a blast!

He is crawling!!

Well, it's not exactly crawling as much as it is scooting! When we try to catch it on video, he lays on his tummy, grunts and kicks his arms and legs:).
If pax isn't crawling then he is standing! He is such a busy guy!:)

Snow Day and Valentine's Day

First snow day of the year!! Pax slept until 8:00 am and Bob is home from the fire station. This makes for a perfect snow day.
We put Pax in his snow gear and took him outside to play. Mainly, I enjoyed how cute he looked in his snowsuit!

Mini snowman for a mini guy!!!!

Bob has to work on Valentine's Day so we celebrated
early. Bob gave me a box of Hershey kisses and hugs with personalized messages attached. So for the next 30 days I have a chocolate to eat and a sweet message attached.

I got Bob some artwork for our basement from ETSY.

I also had our wedding video transferred from VHS to DVD.

We got Pax some ABC's for the tub, shape sorter and the the print above that says "Let's sleep under the stars" for his frame wall.

It's fun to have an excuse to shop for gifts:).

8 months old

Our sweet 8 month guy or as we call him lately-Buzz, Burger bottom, Bub or Bubby.
Some memories at 8 months:

Loves puffs-he can stuff many in his mouth at one time.
Can pull himself up on his own
Says Mama and Dada
Hates getting his diaper changed
Dislikes avocado
Loves to turn lights on and off
Loves to sneak around corners and scare people. He giggles before we even get around the corner.
Likes to play in his book basket
Loves the company of adults.
Standing is the best way for him to play.
He giggles while you warm his solids or get his bottle ready.

Mama

He said it. The word mama today clear as day and more than 10 times. I loved it. My heart melted and weirdly I feel more connected to him than ever. I told Bob that he doesn't associate the word mama with me, but Bob begged to differ. He found Pax saying mama when I wasn't around. So maybe Bob is right, Pax is making a connection or Bob is humoring me?

On another note, Bob made a yummy appetizer (bacon wrapped asparagus) to take to Stacy and Todd's to watch the Superbowl.

Paxton enjoyed playing with all of their toys and the kids!

Also Paxton is becoming proficient at standing while holding onto furniture, mostly one handed. He loves to practice standing with the toy pictured below.
