The first part of September

Jaela and Paxton on their first day of pre-school
Jaela and Paxton on the first day of pre-school.
The night before his first day of pre-school!

Walking into his first day of school at We Care in the Stable room with his teachers Ms. Mary and Ms. Ann and 12 other 3 year olds.  Pax goes to school MWF 9-12.  It's his favorite, except Gym was a little overwhelming at first, but not anymore.  He pretends to be Ms. Lynn (his gym teacher) all the time.

Legacy Trail. Paxton on his bike, Bennett in the stroller and Dad and I on foot.

Bennett cheering Paxton on at soccer. Bennett must have  picked up some of the skills, because just the other day Jared and Keegan commented at Christmas time that he has "good ball skills."

Bike rides.  Soaking up the last of the warm weather.

A few girls from work and I went on a girls trip to Hermann Missouri to visit he wineries.  It was good to get away, drink wine and wear fake eye lashes.  Pictured above is Nikki and Adri.

Swinging is one of B's all time favorite outdoor activities.

Paxton Conversations

I wish I could write down and remember everything Paxton says!  Mostly he asking "why?" about everything and he never stops talking.  There are times I believe he talks for an entire half an hour without stopping.  Here are somethings he is saying:

1.  "I can't wait to be Superman for Halloween because Superman wears his underwear on the outside of his pants."

2.  "Daddy don't go to work tomorrow. I want you to stay home. I love you Daddy.  Aren't there any other Paxton Daddy's who can go to the fire station?"

3.  "Bennett, will you marry me?"

4. "Madilyn is going to school to be a Barbie!"

5. "When Madilyn comes over I'm going to put make-up on her and polish if she doesn't have any polish."

6. "I am going to save this money for a riding mower and back pack leaf blower."

7.  "I am going to fly this airplane and deliver formula to baby houses."

8.  "I save monkeys when they get stuck in trees."

9.  "I am going to get a digger tattoo."

10.  "Look at the diggers they are showing love.  Look the baby bucket is on the mama bucket."

11.  "Wouldn't it be cool to slide down a woman's tongue?"  ?????

12.  Paxton is in the bath while Bennett is going to bed.  P says worriedly to Dad, "I didn't say goodnight to B."  Dad says, "Why don't you whisper outside his door goodnight."  P says, "Dad I have a better idea, I'll talk under his door."  So Paxton laid down and talked under his door and sang his song (good night, don't let the bed bugs bite, if they do, hit them with a shoe and they will turn black and blue.), said goodnight and kissed him.

13.  "At my birthday party the girls will not leave.  We will go hunting with bows and arrows for turkey."

14.  "The brothers at my fire station will get the day off and go to Red Lobster and I will cook shark, crab, fish and lobster for their celebration."

More of August

Music in the Park at downtown Lee's Summit.

Paxton tried out soccer.  His coaches were soccer players from Graceland College and they taught him skills to play the game.  He didn't really love soccer.  Although he was really good at it! Maybe we will try again if he is interested?

August Part 1

August in pictures!  I love capturing moments in our normal every day lives because I feel like those moments are the most memorable.  I also like capturing the events, festivals, birthday parties, outings, etc. we do because that's important too.
August means back to work for me and this year I was especially sad to leave the boys.  Paxton started his first year at WeCare pre-school in the Stable Room with 13 other students and his teachers Ms Mary and Ms Ann.  Ashley, along with her 4 year old daughter, came over and watched the boys.
The pictures below are of part of August everyday life and the special events too!

Auntie won tickets to Sporting KC and she gave the tickets to Bob and I.  It was such a cool experience.  It turned me into a soccer fan and I feel like I have a better understanding of the game.

Madilyn turned 5 and hosted a Frozen Birthday Party at GAGE.

The next few pictures are at a Balloon Festival in KS.  It was awesome. Everything about it.  Tons of kids activities, festival food and hot air balloons that inflated took flight or stayed around for the Balloon Glow.  This was our first Ballon Glow and it was breathtaking. At night the inflated balloons would light their fires and glow!  The shapes of the balloons were incredible, balloons shaped like  Darth Vader, Elvis and a shoe from the "Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe."

Balloon Glow!!

Jess Bixler encouraged me to check out her Yoga Instructor Debra and I am thankful I did for many reasons.  One of the reasons is the retreat Debra hosted and I attended.  It was a day of learning about yoga, being reflective and time with good friends.

Jess and Sarah at the Yoga Retreat!

Me, Pat and Ang at the Retreat.

We had lunch with Auntie and visited her new office at FreightQuote.

Paxton has such an imagination and loves to pretend play.  I love, enjoy and encourage this so much!  On a trip to Target he was a fireman and he played the role the entire trip, pretending to put out fires, and introducing himself as fireman.  I would also describe Paxton has confident and this is a good example of his confidence and the the fact that he wears a clip on tie most of the time.  He is pretty comfortable in his own skin.

HUGE popsicle from the Ice Cream Truck!

Playing dress up with B!  He loves to be in my closet.  My closet is the first place I go to look for him and usually he is sitting in there, just hanging out.
